Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka reveals the club are yet to initiate fresh contract talks with him or his representatives.

Goretzka’s current deal expires in 2021 and fresh talks have not been held, despite establishing himself as a key first team player under head coach Hansi Flick.

Bayern lost Thiago Alcântara this summer and are struggling to tie down defender David Alaba, but the 25-year-old insists he is relaxed about the situation.

“So far there have been no discussions held with me,” he told reporters on Tuesday.

“I’m under contract for another year and a half so there is not a lot of pressure.

“But if Hasan Salihamidzic or Hansi Flick approach me in the next few weeks then I will not refuse to talk to them.”

Goretzka made 38 appearances in last season’s treble-winning campaign and has been used on 10 occasions in all competitions already in 2020-21.
