According to La Voix du Nord, RC Lens midfielder Seko Fofana (27) will not be joining Paris Saint-Germain according to sources contacted by the regional paper. After losing Chieck Doucouré to Crystal Palace last week, Fofana wants to stay with the Sang and Or for a another season in Ligue 1.
PSG sporting advisor Luís Campos made enquiries on the 27-year old central midfielder, who impressed in Ligue 1 last season as Lens finished 7th in the league and just missed out on European football. The former Manchester City U21 player formed a productive partnership with the departed new Crystal Palace defensive midfielder Chieck Doucouré (22) who will play under Patrick Vieira in the Premier League next season.
The Paris-born player signed for Lens from Udinese in August 2020 – and has made a total of 99 appearances in Ligue 1 since then, scoring 11 goals and making seven assists during his time in Northern France.
