OGC Nice’s search for Francesco Farioli’s replacement continues apace. As reported by L’Équipe, as the Italian nears an exit, RC Lens’ Franck Haise has been added to the list of targets.
Whilst there has been no official indication regarding Farioli’s future at Nice, a departure is expected, despite only arriving at the club last summer. Farioli may have already reached an agreement with Ajax over a three-year deal, however, a deal must also be struck with Le Gym, who will only ask for a maximum of €1m.
L’Équipe report that Farioli’s departure would suit all parties. Bruno Genesio is the favourite to succeed the Italian at the Allianz Riviera. However, Lens’ Franck Haise is, like last year, a potential target, should he leave Les Sang et Or. Didier Digard has also previously been linked with the soon-to-be-vacant role, as per L’Équipe. With Nice president Jean-Pierre Rivère announcing the departure of Florent Ghisolfi, it is unclear who will lead the managerial search, in the event that Farioli does indeed depart.
