As one of the players Paris Saint-Germain are looking to move on this summer, Spanish left-back Juan Bernat could now be set for a return to the Bundesliga, having arrived five seasons ago from Bayern Munich.

According to L’Équipe, three clubs from the opposite back of the Rhine have shown an interest in the full-back – Leipzig, Union Berlin, and Bayer Leverkusen.

Having already sold young defender El Chadaille Bitshiabu to the recent German Super Cup winners earlier this summer, the former Valencia man could become the latest PSG player to move to Leipzig. The Bundesliga side are hoping to secure a loan deal with a permanent option. The latter two clubs are also looking at loaning in the 30-year-old, who has also attracted from Saudi Arabia.

Bernat has made 128 appearances in all competitions and won four Ligue 1 titles with PSG, in a spell that was interrupted for over a year by an ACL injury in 2020.
