The 28-year-old is about to start a new chapter in his career after eight seasons in England. The Super Eagles defensive midfielder landed in Turkey today to finalize his move to Besiktas. The Black Eagles' management triggered a release clause in the player's contract to seal a deal that had been dragging on for several weeks.

The Nigerian international, who has 62 caps, is set to sign a three-year contract with an option for a fourth season. This signing marks a major investment for Besiktas, who are counting on Ndidi's European experience to bolster their midfield. A product of KRC Genk, Ndidi joined Leicester in January 2017 and became one of the team's key pillars.
