Leicester target left out of Salzburg squad as transfer talks 'continue'

Leicester’s move for Red Bull Salzburg defender Kamil Piątkowski has gone a step closer to completion with the centre-back not travelling to their training camp in Marbella.

Local paper Salzburger Nachrichten has revealed that Piątkowski has not gone to Spain for the Red Bull club’s warm weather training camp due to ‘transfer talks’.

Brendan Rodgers’ side have been heavily linked with a move for the Poland international since before the World Cup, and it seems like the move could happen sooner rather than later.

SN state that Piątkowski is likely to cost the Foxes in the region of €20m.

The 22-year-old has only played three times for Salzburg this term after missing two months with an ankle injury.
