Few have hope of Leicester pulling off a win against Chelsea. Even getting a point at Stamford Bridge would be a major accomplishment that's unlikely to happen. Regardless of what the final score ends up being, Ruud van Nistelrooy's men need to show increased fight within games.

Today is about proving that the Foxes deserve to currently be playing against Premier League opponents. Last year's accomplishments were spectacular, and the club should be proud. This can't overshadow some of the performances that this team has displayed so far in EPL play.

Losing would be fair enough. There are good sides in the Prem, and LCFC are outmatched in a lot of fixtures. City still need to show fight. Supporters are sticking by their club, and they deserve to see a more competent and promising approach in games.

Relegation becomes an increased likelihood. Speaking with the team's media, Bobby De Cordova-Reid gave some insight on the current pulse in the locker room:

"I’ve been in situations where I know what it takes to get out of this situation. At the same time, I’ve been relegated before, and it’s not a nice feeling."

It's telling that this is on the forefront of the player's mind. Why wouldn't it be? Constant losing and the schedule running out of games make the Championship more and more real again. The Jamaican is sharing what his teammates are feeling.

Words need to inspire Leicester

They know they are up against the wall. And having experienced going down a tier in recent memory, they know the feeling and want to avoid the demotion. Hopefully, for Leicester fans, these sentiments will translate to a renewed spirit on the pitch.

There is plenty of quality to put up a fight on a weekly basis. Certainly, there is enough to not have embarrassing outings.

Case in point, the attacker further shared:

"I don’t want it to happen again, so we have to rally around each other, as a collective, the whole club, to get ourselves out of this situation."

De Cordova-Reid is echoing the right message. Leicester knows what's needed. They'll need to showcase a certain level of desperation against Chelsea and all opponents moving forward.
