Leicester have been handed a concern over the international break regarding the fitness of midfielder Dennis Praet.

Although he hasn’t always been a regular this season, the midfielder has featured more frequently since the turn of the year (albeit from the bench) and as a result, earned a Belgium recall under new boss Domenico Tedesco.

But Le Soir report that Praet is now a major fitness doubt for his country’s friendly with Germany on Tuesday night.

The 28-year-old was an unused substitute in last week’s win over Sweden, a game which did see Foxes duo Wout Faes and Timothy Castagne both feature in the defence which picked up the clean sheet.

However, he missed training on Monday with an unspecified issue and it is unclear how serious the issue is.

In addition, speaking last week, Tedesco offered an explanation for the former Torino man’s call-up, despite his struggles to break into Brendan Rodgers’ starting line-up.

“He may be a substitute at Leicester but he’s always very focused when he comes on,” he told the assembled media.

“Whether they are winning or losing, he always keeps looking to make an impact and applies aggressive pressure. That attitude he has is why we called him up.”
