Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers does not believe Liverpool are significantly weaker due to injury problems.

The Reds are without several key players, including Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Trent Alexander-Arnold, captain Jordan Henderson and Mohamed Salah.

All of the above missed their win over Leicester City on Sunday. But Rodgers believes the Reds still have a very strong team.

"Everybody spoke about Liverpool's injuries," he told reporters. "I don't go with that narrative.

"I don't see it as a depleted back line. I know they are missing Virgil van Dijk, but [Joel] Matip is a top player.

"Fabinho has played there against Chelsea and against top players.

"Andy Robertson has always played, Alisson is the number one goalkeeper and James Milner wherever he plays he does an incredible job."
