Italian media have been closely following the future of Victor Kristiansen, who is currently on loan at Bologna from Leicester City.
His impressive performances under Thiago Motta in Serie A have sparked strong interest, with the club seriously considering exercising the pre-agreed €15m option to buy in his contract.
Initially, the notion of purchasing Kristiansen and reimbursing Leicester seemed daunting in the early stages of the season. However, according to Corriere dello Sport’s report on Wednesday, there has been a notable shift.
Motta is reportedly highly impressed by Kristiansen’s recent performances, as well as his dedication and attitude. These factors are reportedly prompting Bologna to seriously consider acquiring him permanently.

Although the €15m price tag remains significant for Bologna, there’s a shifting sentiment regarding Kristiansen’s future. His recent performance against Atalanta has further bolstered the belief that he can and should be integrated into their long-term strategies.
The only area lacking in his game is his ability to score goals, a fact acknowledged by both Kristiansen and Motta. It’s a “little box” the Leicester loanee aims to check in the future.
Having solidified his defensive skills, the manager now seeks a significant offensive contribution. The upcoming match against Inter Milan presents the perfect opportunity to demonstrate proficiency in both aspects of his game.
Leicester will be closely monitoring the situation, as an additional €15m would surely be welcomed. This is particularly noteworthy for a player who previously seemed to struggle with the demands of Enzo Maresca.
