Leicester City eased into their pre-season schedule with a win over Northampton.

Enzo Maresca named new signings Harry Winks, Conor Coady and Callum Doyle among a starting line-up that also included Jamie Vardy.

The Foxes broke the deadlock early in the first half when Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall headed home from Timothy Castagne’s cross at the byline.

Dewsbury-Hall also enjoyed the visitors’ best chance after the interval with a first-time shot which flew narrowly off target.

Maresca’s side face Leuven next Wednesday before flying out to take on former Premier League rivals Tottenham and Liverpool in the Far East.
