Leicester keen on signing Ajax's latest Champions League star | OneFootball

Leicester are reportedly interested in signing Ajax playmaker Hakim Ziyech this summer in what would be one of their more audacious moves in recent memory.

Ziyech has been in sensational form for the Dutch outfit on both domestic and European fronts this term, earning admiration from clubs all over the continent.

Napoli, Bayern Munich and Arsenal have all been linked with the Morocco international. According to German news outlet Süddeutsche Zeitung, though, it’s Leicester who are currently leading the race for his signature.

Ajax’s run to the Champions League semi-finals will likely see a lot of their star names leave over the summer, but the Eredivisie outfit are keen to recoup as much money as possible from their current crop.

Although the Amsterdam giants would like to keep Ziyech, there is an awareness at the Johan Cruyff Arena that every player has his price, with reports suggesting that they would accept offers in the region of €45m for the attacking midfielder.

That would be a huge outlay for Leicester, who have also been quoted a similar amount for current loanee Youri Tielemans.
