Scorers: Maddison 37′, Barnes 90+5′

Leicester jumped into second place after beating Southampton 1-0 at the King Power Stadium.

After an end-to-end start, the Foxes went ahead after James Maddison thundered into the roof from an almost impossible angle.

But Southampton kept pushing for an equaliser and were inches away – after Stuart Armstrong smashed the crossbar with Casper Schmeichel well beaten.

Harvey Barnes secured all three points after finishing past Alex McCarthy in injury time.

Fulham 0-1 Chelsea

Scorers: Mount 78′

Chelsea ended their four-match winless run after edging past West London rivals Fulham 1-0 at Craven Cottage.

Ivan Cavaleiro went closest for the hosts but shanked his effort wide from six yards, while Mason Mount smacked the bar for Chelsea with a smart half volley.

Fulham were reduced to ten-men after defender Antonee Robinson was dismissed for his reckless challenge on César Azpilicueta.

But with the man advantage, Chelsea pushed for a winner and finally made their breakthrough after Mount smashed in from close range.

Leeds 0-1 Brighton

Scorers: Maupay 17′

In the Ben White derby it was Brighton who started the brighter of the two sides and opened the scoring on 15 minutes thanks to some neat inter-play and a cool finish from Neal Maupay.

Into the second half and despite dominating the ball, Leeds just could not find that killer pass to trouble the visitors goal.

Graham Potter’s side held out for a much needed win at the bottom of the table.

West Ham 1-0 Burnley

Scorers: Antonio 10′

West Ham flew out of the blocks and took the lead inside 10 minutes when Michail Antonio finished well on his first start since November.

The second half was a similar story, plenty of possession for David Moyes’ men but a lack of killer instinct inside the penalty area stopped them from doubling the lead.

Still though, the Hammers held on and stayed in eighth, level on points with Southampton.

Wolves 2-3 West Brom

Scorers: Fabio Silva 39′, Boly 43′; Pereira 8′ (pen), 54′ (pen), Ajayi 52′

West Brom won their first game under Sam Allardyce as they came from behind to beat Wolves in the Black Country derby.

The Baggies got off to a perfect start as Matheus Pereira scored from the penalty spot after a Wily Boly foul on Callum Robinson. But the home side pulled one back on the stroke of half time as Fabio Silva swept one in from close range.

Wolves weren’t done there though, as they completed the turnaround moments later as Boly reacted quickest and finishes well from inside the area.

This thrilling derby wasn’t done there however as the visitors got their own equaliser in the second half thanks to Semi Ajayi’s header and then went ahead again thanks to a second Pereira spot kick.
