Leicester City are ‘desperate’ for Youri Tielemans to head overseas if his expected departure comes to fruition in the summer, according to Daily Mail journalist Tom Collomosse.
Tielemans slotted home from the penalty spot as the Foxes were made to settle for a point against West Ham United on Sunday, but it appears his days at the King Power Stadium may be numbered.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Tielemans has no intention of extending his stay at Leicester and rejected the club’s latest offer of a new contract.
Romano understands the 47-cap Belgium international has attracted interest from a host of clubs ahead of the transfer window reopening in the summer.
The Daily Mail have claimed Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal have been put on red alert after the major development, while Serie A giants Juventus and La Liga title chasers Real Madrid are also circling.
The report suggests Leicester are open to selling Tielemans for £35million having previously valued the central midfielder at £60million.
Leicester’s heavily reduced price tag is due to the 24-year-old entering the final 12 months of his £120,000-per-week contract when the transfer window reopens for business.
According to Dutch media outlet Het Nieuwsblad, Tielemans is keen to join a club challenging for their domestic title at the end of the season.
Collomosse feels Leicester are hopeful of seeing Tielemans depart the Premier League if he continues to refuse fresh terms with the Foxes.
However, the journalist believes some of Europe’s heavyweights will not be willing to make a move for the £49.5million-rated Belgian in the summer.
Collomosse told GIVEMESPORT: “I think they’d be desperate to sell him to PSG, Bayern or one of the big two in Spain.
“But the problem is that Bayern don’t historically pay massive transfer fees and PSG are fairly well covered in that area.
“Also, one area where Barcelona are absolutely fine is in midfield.”

Tielemans has registered 46 goal contributions in 136 appearances since Leicester forked out £40million to acquire his services from Monaco in the summer of 2019, so it is clear he would leave a major void in Brendan Rodgers’ side.
He already boasts legendary status at the King Power Stadium after his long range strike fired Leicester to their first-ever FA Cup last season.
Tielemans also helped the Foxes to more silverware at the start of the campaign by getting his hands on the Community Shield and there is no doubting his influence would be missed at Leicester.
There is no doubting that Rodgers is a huge fan of the Belgian as well, having selected him 133 times.
