Leicester City Women sign Connie Scofield

Leicester City Women have signed 22-year-old midfielder Connie Scofield after the expiry of her contract at Birmingham City.

The England youth international had been with Birmingham City since just nine years old and earned her first professional contract with the Blues when she turned 16.

She made 29 league appearances it total for Birmingham, including eight in the WSL last season, while internationally she has played for England U-17s, U-19s and U-21s.

Scofield told LCFC TV: “It’s pretty amazing really and I’m just so excited to be here. When Leicester came in, I was over the moon. It was a big decision, but it just felt right.”
