Leicester City are currently fighting for promotion to the Premier League.

The Foxes suffered a surprising relegation last season, but have since looked to right their wrongs as they aim for an immediate return to the top flight.

It will be no easy task though, as Leeds and Ipswich Town have the same objective in mind as they look to finish inside the automatic promotion places.

Leicester recently spent just under a decade in the Premier League, which, of course, included that incredible title-winning campaign despite being one of the favourites for relegation that season.

Despite such a strong run in the top flight, there was one man that Leicester continually dreaded coming up against, as he was a regular goalscorer against the Foxes.

Harry Kane actually spent half a season on loan at the King Power Stadium, grabbing a couple of goals in the blue of Leicester City, but whenever he returned as the opposition, he would simply terrorise the Foxes.

In fact, not one man in history has scored as many goals against Leicester City as Harry Kane, so if the club do return to the Premier League next season, they will be thankful to know that one of England's greatest ever strikers has departed for the Bundesliga.

Kane's big departure from Spurs

The 30-year-old spent nearly two decades at White Hart Lane, first progressing through the youth side before making a name for himself and becoming an icon in the first team.

Kane's 213 Premier League goals in 320 appearances makes him one of the most prolific strikes in the history of English football, but last summer, a new opportunity arose, as his Premier League days came to an end.

There had been speculation for a few seasons regarding the striker's departure, but eventually, last summer, Bayern Munich and Tottenham agreed a deal worth £100m, and off Kane went to the Bundesliga for a fresh challenge.

While Spurs were rightfully upset to see him go, many defenders in English football breathed a sigh of relief as they would no longer be coming up against Harry Kane, at least twice a season.

One club who will especially be glad not to be facing Kane any time in the near future is Leicester City.

Leicester City have not conceded more goals to one player than Harry Kane in their entire history, after he absolutely terrorised the Foxes over the last decade or so.

Kane came up against Leicester on 20 occasions in total, and scored a whopping 20 goals, while assisting five. Leicester had suffered some big defeats against Spurs over the years, and that is largely down to the likes of Kane and Heung-min Son, who scored 10 in 16.

Kane's first encounter with Leicester City at White Hart Lane saw the young striker at the time net a hat trick in a 4-3 victory. Then, two seasons later, he looked to go one better as he scored an incredible four goals at the King Power Stadium, in a 6-2 thrashing.

Kane only failed to score in five of his 16 Premier League encounters with the Foxes; two of which came in Leicester's dramatic title-winning campaign.

The striker would continue to terrorise the club following their title win, right up until last season, as he scored one and assisted one at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

If Leicester do achieve promotion to the Premier League, one thing for sure is that they will be incredibly glad not to be coming up against Kane, given his previous dominance over the club.
