With the promotion and relegation race hotting up, this weekend brings about another crucial weekend of Championship action.

Involved in said promotion race are Leicester City, who host a West Bromwich Albion side that are looking to cement their place in the play-off positions.

Leicester City form

Despite Leicester sitting second in the Championship standings at present, things could be looking much better for the Foxes were they not struggling for form.

On the flip side, things could also be far worse, with Ipswich and Leeds also struggling to get results of late.

The Foxes have lost three of their last five matches in the Championship, including two consecutive games heading into this weekend.

Those defeats all came against sides in the bottom half of the table, too, with defeats to relegation-threatened clubs such as Millwall and Plymouth Argyle particularly disappointing from a Leicester perspective.

Even despite that form, a win on Saturday lunchtime would take the Foxes back to the summit of the division, and put the pressure on the likes of Ipswich, Leeds and Southampton to get a result later in the weekend.

West Brom form

Leicester City's opponents this weekend are not exactly in scintilating form either, however, despite the fact they are still looking to wrap up a play-off place.

In their last five league matches, Carlos Corberan's side have picked up just one victory, with three draws and a defeat to go along with it.

That defeat came at The Hawthorns last time out against Sunderland, with the Baggies reduced to ten men after 43 minutes following Brandon Thomas-Asante's red card.

Currently occupying fifth in the league table, as shown above, West Brom still hold a commanding seven point advantage over Hull City, who are the side most likely to knock them out of the play-off spots.

David Prutton's Leicester City v West Brom score prediction

Unfortunately for Leicester and West Brom, neither of them will be taking home all three points if Sky Sports pundit David Prutton's score prediction for the match proves accurate.

Speaking on the Sky Sports Championship Predictions podcast, Prutton predicted a four-goal thriller at the King Power Stadium, with the two sides taking a point each from the clash in a 2-2 draw.

Asked by host of the podcast Simon Gholam if he was worried about Leicester given their recent form, Prutton responded, via the Sky Sports Championship Predictions podcast: "As we've seen, they have got more than enough to finish where they need to finish."

"But, they've given themselves a very tricky set of circumstances haven't they, given what we've seen from the last two results.

"You would not have seen those coming, you wouldn't have seen the Leeds result [loss v Blackburn] coming either, with the greatest respect to the teams that we're talking about.

"It is going to be a tricky tie at the weekend. West Brom, as we know, seem to have been fifth for about the last fourteen seasons just hanging in there brilliantly, but they do have work to do with Norwich sniffing around them as well."

Prutton finished: "I'm going to go score draw, 2-2."
