Scorers: Danso 47', Fulgini 52', 56'
Leicester City ended a disappointing pre-season in defeat as they were thrashed by Ligue 1 side Lens at Stade Félix Bollaert-Delélis.
Steve Cooper named a close to full strength side for their clash with the French side, but the first half passed without either side managing a shot on target despite Lens racking up eight efforts, while Leicester could barely get out of their own half.
The hosts tested Foxes shot stopper Mads Hermansen in the opening minute of the second half, with the Dane forced into a diving stop to keep out an effort from Angelo Fulgini.
From the resulting corner, however, Lens took the lead as Kevin Danso rose highest to power home a header. Minutes later they had doubled their advantage when the impressive Fulgini arrowed an effort into the top corner.
The Frenchman added a quickfire second (and Lens third) four minutes later after the ball broke to him from Hermansen's initial save, handing the Lens standout a tap in.
The Foxes offered very little in response, with De-Cordova Reid having their first effort of the game and sending the ball well over the crossbar. At the other end, Labeau Lascary's effort came back off the crossbar as Lens pushed for further goals.
With Cooper's side facing Tottenham in their Premier League opening in just over a week, they will be hoping for a much improved performance.
