Leicester City sign Colombian international forward Torres on loan | OneFootball

Leicester City have completed the signing of Colombian international forward Karla Torres on a loan deal which will run until the end of the English season.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Foxes earlier this evening.

The 18-year-old attacker joins Leicester City from Liga Betplay Dimayor Femenina club Independiente Santa Fe. The player has been in and around the club’s first team for the last couple of seasons, netting an impressive 12 goals in 27 league outings. Torres was a Liga Betplay Dimayor Femenina runner-up with her club last season while she also picked up a silver medal in the CONMEBOL Libertadores Femenina in 2024.

On the international stage, Torres is a senior international for Colombia and she has two caps to her name to date. The forward has previously impressed with the Colombian Under-20 side and she has been rewarded for her rapid growth on the international stage with senior minutes.

Torres is Leicester City head coach Amandine Miquel’s third signing of the January transfer window. Miquel has been very keen to add forwards to her squad this month and she has been able to complete her business prior to last night’s transfer deadline.
