A number of sides are said to be interested in taking Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall off of Leicester City’s hands this summer, with the Foxes all but resigned to losing their creator-in-chief in the final third.

The 25-year-old has been one of the standout performers in the current Championship campaign, with only three players bettering his return of 25 goal contributions for Enzo Maresca’s side in the second tier.

Brighton and Hove Albion were said to have had a bid rejected for the playmaker in the recent January transfer window, while Tottenham Hotspur are also said to be keeping a keen eye on the forward’s progress ahead of the summer.

If he does leave during the off-season there will be a huge gap to fill at the King Power Stadium, with Dewsbury-Hall being at the centre of a lot that has gone right at the business end of the field, and they may be looking overseas to a talent that fits the bill as an ideal replacement.

Manu Fuster could be on Leicester City’s radar if Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall secures Premier League switch

When searching for similar players to the Leicester City ace, FBRef’s algorithms throw Manu Fuster’s name into the ring as the most similar player at this moment in time, with the Spaniard excelling in the Segunda Division for Albacete.

The midfielder joined his current side in 2019, having featured for the Valencia academy during his youth, and has gone on to play over 150 times in the lower divisions in Spain.

Despite his side’s lowly status, Fuster continues to impress for the side currently fighting for their lives at the bottom of the Spanish second tier, with back-to-back seasons of double-figure goal contributions.

The Spaniard seems to have that same ability as Dewsbury-Hall to pick up the ball in the centre of the pitch, and drive his team forward, before picking the perfect pass to take a defence out of a game; something that could prove influential when surrounded by the quality strikers among the Foxes ranks.

You only have to look back at the playmaker’s brace against Elche last month to see the quality that he possesses; with the first strike finding the top corner from all of 30 yards, before meeting a ball into the box with a first-time effort for the second.

With eight goals from midfield this season for a club that is finding results hard to come by, Fuster looks to be a player that could thrive in a team where he is surrounded by talent, and players that are consistently on his wavelength.

WIth 2.79 shots per 90 minutes played, he is never afraid to try his luck, while a return of 5.36 shot creating actions for every game played proves how influential he is in a team fighting for their lives at this moment in time.

In fact, his 175 shot creating actions over the course of the campaign are the most in the Spanish second division this season, while only six players can top his 115 progressive carries, with both stats comparing well towards Dewsbury-Hall’s totals.

The Leicester man has made a name for himself with his domineering runs either from out wide or direct in the centre of the park, while his footwork and vision to pick out a teammate has contributed to many a goal for his side this season.

Manu Fuster Albacete contract information

After signing for the club in 2019, Fuster signed a four-year deal with the club, before agreeing to an extension to that deal in the December of 2021.

That now sees his current deal run out next summer, meaning this could be the perfect opportunity to pounce for any potential investors, with his current club likely wanting to sell to make a profit on their prized possession.

With Albacete’s Segunda Division future still hanging in the balance, relegation to the third tier could be good news for the Foxes, with the talented forward likely to be available for a fraction of his current valuation.

With Dewsbury-Hall said to be valued at £45 million according to reports, the outlay on Fuster would be nowhere near as costly as what they could potentially receive for their playmaker’s departure in the summer.

One potential thing that could scupper any plans for a replacement recruit is the current financial plight of the Foxes, with a transfer embargo currently placed on the club following numerical misdemeanours of late.
