Leicester City number two goalkeeper Danny Ward could potentially miss the rest of the season after undergoing meniscus surgery.

“It’s something he’s tried to play through. I’ve known with Danny since I’ve been here, he trains everyday, he has always been there and available, and pushing Kasper. He has been a loyal and supportive number two.

“It’s really unfortunate for us and for Wales at this moment in time. He couldn’t carry on. It was a clean-up operation for him and that’s why he hasn’t been involved.

“It will probably be towards the end of the season (when he’s back).”

Long-time Leicester City deputy Eldin Jakupović will fill in as the Foxes number two.
