Leicester City goalkeeper Daniel Iversen was one of the best goalkeepers in League Two while on loan at Oldham this past season and is ready to step his game up.

The Danish 21-year-old made 49 appearances in all competitions during his first taste of first-team football and is feeling good about getting the chance to prove himself at a higher level.

“I took a lot of experience from many different matches, both in the FA Cup and in the league.

“I’ll take that back to Leicester and then I hope that I can use it when I go out on loan again.

“At least that’s my own plan, and I also hope it’s the club’s plan. Now I have to talk to them about what they think.

“We have had a small conversation, but it is not something that is fixed yet.

“I think I’m done there (at Oldham). I would like to try to step up if I can.

“I’d expect so (to be loaned to an English club). At least that’s what I prefer, but you can never rule out anything in football.”

Iversen arrived from Danish side Esbjerg in 2016 for about €250,000 and will be with the Danish side for the upcoming U-21 Euros.
