Just a few days ago OH Leuven fan groups called on members of the board, who are also part of Leicester City’s governing structures, to part ways with Marc Brys. They threatened a boycott of games until the head coach was gone. It appears that the club have listened and today they announced that after three and a half years at the club, Marc Brys has been relieved of his duties.

During his time at the club they finished 11th twice and 10th once. Brys took over during the sides first season in their return to the top flight. However, this season started poorly, with the side only picking up two wins in 10 matches and sitting in the bottom four. In Belgium this season the bottom four will be involved in a relegation play-off.

U23 head coach Eddy Vanhemel has been placed in temporary charge while the side look for a new head coach. It would be assumed that there are candidates already, given that the new head coach would have a few days with the squad during the international break to start working.

OH Leuven will face surprise package Sint-Truiden after the international break.
