Leicester City have announced the news that defender Georgia Brougham has left the club.

It has been reported that Brougham and the Club have come to a mutual agreement to terminate her contract ahead of schedule.

Brougham joined Leicester City on a free transfer in summer 2021 ahead of the club’s debut campaign in the Barclays Women’s Super League. The 26-year-old made 11 appearances for The Foxes in last season’s Barclays Women’s Super League, helping the club to avoid an immediate relegation back to the second tier.

This season has seen Brougham make just the one appearance for Leicester City, that outing coming in an 8-0 home defeat to Chelsea before the Christmas break. With the player being out of favour, it has been mutually agreed that she can move on and pursue a fresh challenge.

Brougham is the fourth player to leave Leicester City this month. Northern Ireland international defender Demi Vance has also left The King Power Stadium while youngsters Ellen Jones and Connie Scofield have gone out on loan arrangements until the end of the season, the pair joining second tier strugglers Coventry United.
