Leicester boss Rodgers: Soyuncu will start against Brentford | OneFootball

Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has confirmed Caglar Soyuncu will start at FA Cup opponents Brentford on Sunday after being sidelined by Wesley Fofana's stunning form.

French centre-back Fofana has been a revelation at the Foxes since a £30million switch from St Etienne in October.

Rodgers, whose side are third in the top-flight, said: “When Cags has come in, he has done exceptionally well.

“He will play at the weekend. He is ready to perform.

“But to play with that patience , anticipation and quality against Chelsea shows you the level Wesley is at.

“That is what having a competitive squad is about.

“If you want to be in a top squad, it can't be if you are not playing every single game you are not happy.

“Any manager will always speak with the player to recognise and acknowledge for them it is difficult.

“But they also have respect they can't play every game.

“You have to be patient."
