Leicester will play Chelsea in the FA Cup final after victory over Southampton at Wembley on Sunday.
Scorers: Iheanacho 55′
The best chance of the first half fell to Jamie Vardy but having been played in by Youri Tielemans, the Leicester striker could only guide his effort over the bar from a tight angle.
Southampton began the second half brightly but early in the second half, it was Leicester who scored what proved to be the game’s decisive goal.
Vardy surged into the inside channel and fed his strike partner Kelechi Iheanacho, who finished past Fraser Forster after Jannik Vestergaard had blocked his initial effort, which was going wide.
Substitute James Maddison then went close with a couple of efforts from range, but Iheanacho’s goal was enough for the Foxes to set up a date with Chelsea in next month’s final.
