Slovenian international Benjamin Verbič has signed for Legia Warsaw until the end of the season. The left-sided midfielder arrives from Dynamo Kyiv, thanks to FIFA’s ruling allowing Ukraine-based players to sign for other clubs for the current campaign.

28-year-old Verbič arrives at Łazienkowska 3 with a wealth of experience. Even before his UPL league title, two Ukrainian Cups and three Supercups with Dynamo, he lifted back-to-back league and cup doubles with FC Copenhagen in Denmark. He has also played 38 times for the Slovenian national team, scoring five goals – his last being the second of a brace against Israel, back in 2019.

Prior to his time in the Danish capital, he spent four seasons at his hometown club, NK Celje.

Verbič will wear the number 77 shirt during his short spell at Legia.
