Leeds have been “working hard” to sign a striker, according to Sky Sports reporter Tim Thornton.
The Elland Road club have enjoyed a productive transfer window by bringing in six new players, although the hierarchy are yet to deliver Jesse Marsch a new striker.
Despite losing arguably their two best players in Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips, who left for Barcelona and Manchester City respectively, Leeds have signed six new players.
Following Phillips’ departure, the Yorkshire giants have bolstered their midfield with the additions of Tyler Adams, Marc Roca and City youngster Darko Gyabi, while Brenden Aaronson will provide quality at the top end of the pitch.
Luis Sinisterra will add competition to the wide areas, with Denmark international Rasmus Kristensen the other player on board at Elland Road.

But Marsch is still short up front, with Patrick Bamford his only recognised senior option, although the ex-Chelsea youngster struggled with injuries last season, highlighting Leeds’ need to bolster their central options.
Despite so far failing to bring in a striker, Thornton is confident that Leeds have been planning on signing one for some time and have identified a list of targets.
He told GIVEMESPORT: “They’ve been working hard on this, this is not something they’re suddenly shining a light moment where we need to get a striker in, they’ve known about it and have identified the targets.”
According to 90min, Leeds are interested in signing Marseille forward Bamba Dieng, although they face competition from some of their Premier League rivals.
The report adds that West Ham and Newcastle are also keen on the 22-year-old, who scored eight goals and added three assists in his breakout season in France last season.
But Leeds are also targeting a proven Premier League frontman, with The Sun reporting that they’re plotting a move for Southampton star Che Adams.
The report claims that Leeds could sign the Scotland international for just £10m, with less than two years left on his St Mary’s contract.
Adams has started 65 Premier League games since signing from Birmingham three years ago, but Saints recently signed young Frenchman Sekou Mara, which could pave the way for him to depart.
