Leeds winger Raphinha: Ronaldinho and Ronaldo my biggest influences | OneFootball

Leeds United winger Raphinha admits he grew up idolising Brazil's greatest modern day players.

Raphinha has picked out several Brazilian legends who have had the biggest impact on his style of play, particularly singling out Ronaldinho and now teammate Neymar as those who have had the greatest influence.

In an interview with BBC Radio Leeds, he said: “The players that influenced me would have been Ronaldinho and Ronaldo. They were then followed by Adriano, Kaka, Robinho, Neymar. Players of tremendously high quality that inspire me.

“The players that I look up to and am inspired most by are those where I see similar styles to my football. So firstly that would've been Ronaldinho at Barcelona - the way he played football joyfully and had fun on the pitch.

“After Ronaldinho I would be inspired to model my game on Neymar because of his physical stature, physique and style. It's difficult to single out just a few players because there's so many great ones to have contributed to the game of football and to my own game as well."
