Leeds United are interested in signing Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Jorgen Strand Larsen during the winter transfer window, according to The Athletic journalist David Ornstein.

The Whites have yet to make any offer for Strand Larsen, but they are keen and could make a concrete move in the coming days.

The Wolves star has bagged six goals in 23 games this term after ending last term with 14 goals in 38 appearances. Leeds could do with his quality and experience in front of goal.

However, the Yorkshire club could face competition from Nottingham Forest and West Ham United.

Leeds signed midfielder Facundo Buonanotte on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion yesterday, but are still looking to further bolster their options in the attacking third.

They have scored 29 league goals in 21 league games this term and will need to improve significantly in front of goal to boost their survival chances.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been in fine form for Leeds since joining as a free agent after his Everton contract expired last summer, scoring nine goals in 19 league games.

Brenden Aaronson and Lukas Nmecha have bagged four league goals each, but the Whites want to add a quality finisher to their attack.

A move for Strand Larsen this month may prove tricky as Wolves could opt to hold on to him to boost their slim survival chances.

They rejected £55 million from Newcastle United for him last summer and could demand something similar to sell him this month.
