Leeds United attacker Jack Harrison may return to Everton this summer after spending the last two seasons on loan with them, according to The Telegraph.
The 28-year-old will not be part of the squad returning to training on Friday, but he could be rejoining Everton in the next few weeks.
Harrison ended last season with one goal and one assist in 38 games across all competitions. He notched three goals and three assists in 29 league games in 2023-24.
However, manager David Moyes praised him in March for being a ‘threat with his speed and his crossing’.
Everton need an upgrade on the right wing, but the fact that he started 12 of the last 14 games under Moyes is telling.
While Harrison did not produce the goods in front of goal last season, his impressive work rate speaks volumes.
He averaged 3.26 progressive carries per 90 minutes in 2024-25 – up from 2.64 in 2023-2. Jarrod Bowen, Morgan Rogers and Cole Palmer produced a similar number.
Everton need experienced players as they prepare for life at Hill Dickinson Stadium, and Harrison brings plenty of it to the table after making 170 Premier League appearances over the past five seasons.
Leeds may prefer to sell him permanently after a couple of loan spells. He is likely to cost below £7 million, having been signed for £11m in 2021.
