According to a report from Leeds Live, Leeds United are interested in signing Ostersunds FK attacker Hosam Aiesh.
Hosam Aiesh, 24, has bagged two goals and three assists in 11 games so far this season, with the 2019/20 Allsvenskan having already commenced in March. In all, he has scored 15 goals and assisted 24 times in 108 matches for Ostersunds.
The Sweden international’s impact for Ostersunds over the past year has been impressive and Leeds should go all out to sign him this summer.
Leeds endured a disappointing end to 2018/19 campaign, where Marcelo Bielsa’s side were outplayed in the second leg against Derby County. Now, though, the Whites have a second chance and Bielsa will be experienced and wiser ahead of the new campaign.
The club have benefited from the advantages of having Bielsa as their manager. The Argentinean is an experienced manager and will look to right the wrongs of last term, meaning the Whites can use the failures to their advantage and take a step forward this time.
The Yorkshire giants have made a couple of exciting signings in Helder Costa and Rafa Mujica so far this summer. But they need some more quality in the final third, with Samu Saiz expected to leave the club and Pablo Hernandez no more capable of playing two games in a week. Thus, a move for Hosam Aiesh would make sense for Leeds.
Aiesh is one of the best talents emerging from Swedish football that could have a bright future if given the chance to showcase his potential in England. He is an excellent player, blessed with superb pace, trickery and dribbling skills. He is comfortable with both the feet and can be unpredictable at times due to his sudden burst of pace and off the ball movement.

The Sweden international has a good eye for a defence-splitting pass in the attacking third while his execution from long-range is also commendable. He plays with a certain kind of directness that would make him suited to Bielsa’s style of play at Elland Road. Aiesh would provide versatility and is a potential match-winner on his day.
Aiesh has no prior experience of English football, so he’ll be a gamble. Leeds must take a punt on the 24-year-old and hope the explosive attacker hits the ground running at Elland Road.
