Leeds United are currently keeping tabs on Fenerbahce wide man Bright Osayi-Samuel, according to Aksam.

The Nigerian will be a familiar name to many of those who have followed the EFL in recent years, with the player previously plying his trade for Queens Park Rangers.

Being a real asset for the West London side, the R's will be ruing the fact they were unable to keep hold of him for longer, with the player departing Loftus Road back in January 2021.

It was unclear how much of a success he was going to be in Turkey, but he has made enough of an impact there to generate interest from clubs in England's top two tiers.

Registering three goals and four assists in 26 competitive appearances this term for his current team as a right-back, he has been an asset both offensively and defensively.

But he may only be at Fenerbahce until the summer, with plenty of teams thought to have taken an interest in the player.

Interest mounting in Bright Osayi-Samuel

Osayi-Samuel could be set for a return to England at some point, with Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers both thought to be tracking the player.

Wolves look to be all but safe, with the Midlands side on 38 points, and this will allow them to properly plan for the summer window already.

Palace aren't completely out of danger yet, but they are sitting comfortably above the drop zone and would boost their survival hopes further with a win against Luton Town this weekend.

Interest isn't just coming from the Premier League though, with Championship promotion chasers Leeds and French outfit Rennes also reportedly keen.

Leeds United could benefit from having Bright Osayi-Samuel

Osayi-Samuel would be a good versatile option to have.

Not only can he operate on both sides, but he can also play as a full-back and as a winger.

With this in mind, he could be a good wing-back if required too, especially when considering the goalscoring contributions he has made during the 2023/24 campaign.

His main position seems to be right-back at the moment and that's why he could be a good fit for Leeds, with a replacement for Connor Roberts likely to be needed at the end of this term, even with Archie Gray able to play in this area.

He may also be able to fill in at left-back - and he could potentially be a good wing option with loanee Jaidon Anthony set to return to AFC Bournemouth at the end of the season.

It remains to be seen how well he would adapt to top-flight football if Leeds were promoted at the end of the season and he joined in the summer.

But he has done well in the Turkish top flight and already knows England well, so it probably wouldn't take him too long to adapt.

Osayi-Samuel could be a shrewd addition for the Whites, with the domestic and international experience he has under his belt at 26. The fact he's 26 makes him a great long-term option.
