Leeds United forward Tyler Roberts is reportedly close to joining Birmingham City.

The Daily Mail claim the Championship outfit are looking to complete the signing early next week.

The two clubs have held positive talks with each other and are expected to agree a fee around £750,000 plus add-ons.

Roberts joined the Whites from West Bromwich Albion in January 2018 for an initial £2.5m.

However, he has failed to make an impact at Elland Road, struggling for form and goals.

The Wales international has made 108 appearances in all competitions, scoring just nine goals.

He was loaned out to Queens Park Rangers last summer after starting only seven Premier League matches in the 2021-22 season.

Roberts’ temporary stint at Loftus Road saw him earning 20 senior appearances with four goals to his name.

He is now set to make a permanent move to Birmingham after he was deemed surplus to requirements at Elland Road.

Leeds United’s results this season were hugely disappointing as they suffered the drop to the second tier on the final day.

They will likely lose several important players including Weston McKennie, Jack Harrison, Illan Meslier, Rodrigo, Robin Koch and Luis Sinisterra.

Leeds are yet to appoint a new manager after the departure of Sam Allardyce, with Daniel Farke, Carlos Corberan and Scott Parker reportedly their top targets for the vacant post.
