Leeds U23 coach Jackson: Bielsa happy with Greenwood, Gelhardt efforts

Leeds United U23 coach Mark Jackson has no doubts Sam Greenwood and Joe Gelhardt will get a senior chance next season.

The pair were outstanding this term as Leeds won the Premier League 2 title.

"One thing is clear here, with how Marcelo plays, players need to be adaptable, players need to play multiple positions," Jackson told LeedsLive when asked about Joe Gelhardt and Sam Greenwood's versatility.

"If a young player could play different positions it gives them more opportunity to progress. We're 23s, we're still in that development stage for the players, they're still learning.

"For them to alternate positions and experience those different roles is good for their development and that's what the manager has seen, that's what we've seen and they've done it well."
