Leeds United midfielder Lewis Bate has suffered an injury on duty with England's U21s.

The Whites were without several stars for the 1-0 victory over Watford, with Patrick Bamford, Robin Koch and Luke Ayling all absent.

Now Bate, who netted his first goal for England's Under-20s side in the 1-1 draw with Italy on Thursday, has an ankle injury after limping off during that fixture, reports Leeds-Live.

Marcelo Bielsa's most recent update suggested Bamford will not yet be training, while Koch is ruled out indefinitely, and Ayling needs surgery.
