The midfielder missed the draw with Burnley after testing positive for Covid and was then left on the bench for the defeat to Liverpool.

It's been a tricky start to the campaign for Klich following his Covid problems, but he remains a key part of Marcelo Bielsa's cog and his performances this season back that up.

And Wainman has been impressed with Klich and believes that he's a crucial member of Bielsa's squad having recovered from some difficulties last term.

How Thomas Tuchel OUTCLASSED Nuno! Full tactical analysis on The Football Terrace...

What did Wainman say?

He told GIVEMESPORT: "He looks back to his best. He had Covid-19 and missed the Burnley game, but he looks back to his best. I'm a massive Klich fan, and there were times last season where fans were saying he needs to be sold.

"But under Bielsa he played like 98 consecutive games for the club, he's a great servant to the club and it's nice to see him back to his best."

Klich, capped 34 times by his country, is one of many success stories under Bielsa. His numbers haven't quite been the same in the Premier League, but the Polish international has evolved into a box-to-box goalscoring midfielder during his four years at Elland Road and is an extremely popular figure with the Leeds faithful.

Did Luke Ayling score on his Premier League debut for Leeds United?

Yes No

Leeds might be suffering from a slight case of second season syndrome in recent weeks, with their draw at St James' Park only their third point from a possible 15 available this term.

But Leeds are a well-oiled machine, and with a kind run of fixtures upcoming, you'd expect Bielsa's men to start climbing the table sooner rather than later, with Klich more than playing his part.
