Leeds hone in on Marseille target | OneFootball

Leeds United have submitted a bid worth €30m for Olympique de Marseille target Igor Paixão (25), according to a report from The Athletic.

As per RMC Sport, Paixão has already agreed terms with OM over a five-year deal, however, the Ligue 1 side, in the market for a replacement for Luis Henrique, have failed to get a move over the line. The publication understands that Feyenoord have not responded to their latest offer, worth a reported €28m. Talks, therefore, are at a standstill.

With Marseille failing to make progress in talks with the Eredivisie side, recently promoted Leeds United have now made their move. The Athletic understands that the Yorkshire side have tabled a bid worth €30m for the Brazilian winger. Talks between Leeds United and Feyenoord are ongoing.

Paixão scored 16 goals and registered 10 assists in 34 games for Feyenoord last season but is now expected to leave the Dutch side during the current window.
