"Of course, they are very good players to keep an eye on. I would like to reach the same level as Virgil van Dijk, Frenkie de Jong and Matthijs de Ligt," said Struijk. H

“In terms of international career, I want to wait and see where interest comes from. It depends on whether Oranje becomes an option, but Belgium is always a possibility for me. I have spoken to the national coach and that gives me opportunities to think about that. Everyone has their own path and I try to find my own way."

On Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa, Struijk added: “He has ensured that I have developed enormously. He makes sure you can improve every aspect of your game and all I can do is learn from that every day. It's great fun to play at Leeds United, there's a lot of laughs in training and we have young, good players."
