With Borna Barišić constantly being linked with moves to moves outside of Scotland, it’s no secret Rangers are keeping their eyes open for potential replacements this summer.
Hailing from Glasgow, it’s little doubt that Rangers supporters wouldn’t mind adding Leeds left-back Barry Douglas into the fray.
Though he has been in-and-out of Marcelo Bielsa’s starting XI, Douglas has proven he can absolutely dominate in the position, scoring five goals and assisting a whopping 15 others with Wolves during the 2017-18 campaign.
With only one year remaining on his contract, Douglas could be on the move and he has recently revealed to Leeds-based podcast ‘Talking Shutt’ how growing up five minutes from Ibrox put Rangers in his heart.
“I grew up in Pollok which is literally five minutes from Ibrox so my family were predominantly Rangers fans,” Douglas said.
“So I grew up being a Rangers fan. But once you start playing, and breaking into the senior ranks, it changes a bit.
“You always have your club in your heart, but when you’re playing for points week in week out, it changes it a little bit.”
Douglas has featured 13 times for Leeds this season but has not seen the pitch since 11 January.
