Leeds had to come from behind to beat Real Sociedad as Jesse Marsch’s side continued their mid-season preparations.
Scorers: Struijk 16′, Rodrigo 58′; Zubimendi 10′
The visitors took an early lead when MartĂn Zubimendi ghosted between both Luke Ayling and Pascal Struijk to nod in a towering harder beyond Joel Robles.
Leeds’ Belgian defender would make amends in sensational fashion just minutes later as Rodrigo’s cross was knocked down to Marco Roca, who set up Struijk to fire in a powerful effort from 20 yards.
A much-changed Leeds side took control of the game just before the hour mark, somewhat against the run of play.
Rodrigo, who had spurned a chance to get in behind the Sociedad defence just moments before, created his own luck and latched onto a loose ball to put Marsch’s side ahead.
Leeds return to Premier League action on the Wednesday after Christmas as they host Man City.
