Lech Poznań were drawn against against Serie A club Fiorentina in Friday’s UEFA Europa Conference League quarter-final draw.
Fiorentina qualified for the last-eight by virtue of a 5-1 aggregate victory over Turkish side Sivasspor. In the knock-out round they progressed past Portuguese side Braga; while they finished second behind Istanbul Basaksehir, in a group also containing Scottish club Hearts and Latvians RFS.
Lech became the first Polish team in 27 years to qualify for the last-eight of European competition on Thursday evening, by virtue of their 5-0 aggregate win of Swedish club Djurgardens IF. They previously eliminated Bodo/Glimt of Norway in the knockout play-off round, and progressed through a group containing Villarreal, Hapoel Be’er Sheva and Austria Vienna.
The first leg of the Quarter-final ties will take place on Thursday 13th April, with the second leg following a week later on the 20th.
