‘Leave’ – Barcelona transfer target Nico Williams sent fresh message by Athletic fans | OneFootball

Athletic Club star Nico Williams has this weekend seen his personal mural in Bilbao vandalised for the latest time.

And on this occasion, the 22-year-old has come in for a harsh message.

Nico’s artwork in the Basque Country has of course taken its place at the centre of the headlines across Spain across the week to date.

This comes after the image, on a wall in a public place, was targeted by vandals not once, but twice.

On Friday, the artist responsible for the painting, Carlos López, fixed his work up once more, restoring it to its original state.

As alluded to above, though, just a day on, Athletic’s fans have made their feelings known once more.

In a clear message regarding his active push to join La Liga rivals Barcelona, Nico’s mural was on this occasion tagged with the writing:

‘Nico, leave. We will defend our shield at all times.’
