The forward left Brighton for north London in January after the Gunners missed out on the signing of Mykhailo Mudryk and has since impressed.

Trossard has scored two goals while registering ten assists in 25 appearances for Arsenal but the competition for places in Mikel Arteta’s first-team is fierce.

Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli have so far been the starters in wide attacking areas, while Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus operate through the middle.

As such, Trossard has been limited to just one start in four Premier League games thus far, though the 28-year-old insists he will be ready to play a starring role for Belgium at Euro 2024.

“A lot of young guys have come along who want to show themselves [for Belgium],” he told Het Laatste Nieuws.

“That’s good too. There are many good players, such as [Johan] Bakayoko and [Jeremy] Doku. But I see that every week at Arsenal – that’s nothing new.

“I don’t know how the national coach feels about that [his role at Arsenal]. I am still convinced that I will play enough matches. I will be ready for the European Championship.”
