The ceremony has not yet started but a leaked document appears to confirm the rumours that Luka Modrić has won the 2018 Ballon d’Or.

The winner of the prestigious gong will be officially announced at a ceremony in Paris on Monday evening and France Football – who run the award – have begun their countdown of the top 30 nominees.

But a list has emerged via Snapchat which appears to show that Modrić has won with a whopping 753 pts, followed by Cristiano Ronaldo with 476 and Antoine Griezmann with 414.

Last week, Spanish radio station Onda Cero released information which suggested the top three would be exactly that, while the leaked list also tallies exactly with the results which have been announced so far.

Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly decided to give the presentation ceremony a miss after hearing he wasn’t going to win and if this information is correct, it looks like he made the right decision.
