As the ongoing Premier League season continues to rumble on, fans can now begin looking towards the next campaign as leaked photos of Manchester City’s new shirts emerge.
This season, Manchester City’s kit manufacturers Puma went down the retro route with two of their three editions, providing supporters with plenty to be excited about upon the officials release of the home and away kits.
City’s home edition featured a centralised badge paired with maroon details in a reference to the club’s former glory days and specifically the late Colin Bell – one of many true Maine Road legends celebrated by the football club.
As for the away kit, following many years of calls from supporters to both Nike and Puma, the latter finally opted to provide fans with a modern day twist on the popular black and red stripe combination, last used in the 2011/12 Premier League title-winning campaign.
However, in typical Puma style, the third kit was more of a bold design choice as a bright lime green, or yellow to some, was paired with black.
Ahead of the fast-approaching 2023/24 campaign, the first leaked images of Manchester City’s supposed home, away, and third kits have now emerged on social media, offering fans an early look into what they could have the offer of purchasing when the new season comes around.
The 2023/24 Manchester City home shirt will reportedly see the return of the Puma logo and Manchester City badge next to one another, as well as white trims and detailing, as per images from Twitter user @mancitycollect.
Following a season with a rounded neckline, Manchester City’s kit manufacturers will also look to bring back a v-neck style – which has often been used by Puma across a number of their club’s kits, as well as earlier editions during their partnership with Manchester City.
That collar will also feature two thin lines of a darker shade of blue, which is used in the detailing throughout the main body of City’s new strip.

There are clear similarities between the 2003/04 kit too – a campaign that saw City finish 16th in the Premier League, register a memorable 4-1 home win over city rivals Manchester United, and complete their first season at the now-named Etihad Stadium.

This is where things get a little more creative from Puma, as is usually the case with Manchester City’s alternative strips.
City’s 2023/24 away strip is likely to feature a combination of several colours: Maroon throughout a traditional collar, cream across the main body of the shirt, orange detailing, and gold across the main aspects of the club crest.

There could also be a tie in with Manchester’s industrial past, as seen via the silhouette embedded within the shirt.

While the main colour schemes are expected to be extremely promising at first glance, you may quickly alter your opinions as you scroll further down this article.
From one leaked image, Puma will look to use a shade of navy or grey as the main colour in the 2023/24 shirt, before using a rounded collar that features a thin strip of light blue within.
Orange and red detailing will make up the manufacturer’s logo and the Manchester City crest, as well as the Etihad Airways logo.

This is where things certainly get interesting.
Puma have opted to embed what appears to be some sort of lightning bolt detailing across large sections of the main body of the shirt – keeping up with the bold and striking designs that have been seen in the past.
