The second ever Leagues Cup kicks off this weekend as all 29 MLS and 18 Liga MX teams compete in a World Cup-style competition for the next month. Leagues Cup hub privileges explained

The hub privileges at Leagues Cup 2024 minimize travel for four Liga MX sides, giving the Mexican clubs one permanent location in the United States to play a select number of matches. They will also play as the home side in stadiums based in their hub city.

The four Liga MX sides receiving hub privileges at Leagues Cup 2024 are Club America, C.F. Monterrey, Chivas de Guadalajara, and Tigres UANL. Check out the full details of their privileges below, per Leagues Cup.

  • Club America: Hub privileges will last through the semi-finals in California. The reigning Liga MX champions will play their first match of the tournament in the Round of 32 at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego.
  • C.F. Monterrey: Hub privileges will last through the Round of 16 in Texas. The club will play both group stages matches against Austin FC and Pumas at Q2 Stadium in Austin.
  • Chivas de Guadalajara: Hub privileges will last through Round of 32 in California. Chivas will play their group stage matches at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara and at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson.
  • Tigres UANL: Hub privileges will last through the group stage in Texas. Tigres will play their two group stage fixtures in Houston at Shell Energy and at NRG Stadium.

As the reigning Liga MX champions, Club America gets hub privileges that extend the longest at Leagues Cup, all the way through the semi-finals. Meanwhile, as the lowest ranked of the top four Liga MX sides, Tigres UANL will only get hub privileges for the group stage.
