Leafield went through with two second-half goals after their early opener was cancelled out by the higher-division Rams.

South Shields edged Halifax 4-3 on penalties, after making it 3-3 in the 90th minute against their visitors from two tiers above.

Further success for Regional League sides against FA WNL opposition came for FC St Helens over Doncaster Rovers Belles, six-goal Mancunian Unity in the meeting with Stockport County, Shrewsbury Town by the odd goal in five versus Northampton Town, Fulham who hit half a dozen past Chesham United and Handsworth after a 2-0 defeat of York City.

Peterborough United knocked out Billericay Town from the division above on penalties, Lewes avoided a similar fate against Dulwich Hamlet by also progressing in a shoot-out with this one taken to sudden death.

Watford avenged the midweek loss at home to AFC Wimbledon by winning away to the Dons on penalties following a 0-0 deadlock.

One further tie decided from the spot saw Stevenage go through at Cambridge City.
