Lazio’s Europa League Group Stage Schedule Revealed | OneFootball

After learning the identity of their Europa League group stage fixtures, Lazio now know the dates and timings of their eight fixtures.

UEFA have implemented a new format that would see all 36 participants pitted in one group, similar to the Champions League. The first eight clubs will qualify directly to the Round of 16, while those who finish between 9th and 24th will face a play-off round.

Lazio were considered a Pot 1 team due to their relatively high European coefficient. They have two different opponents from each of the four pots.

The Italians will start their campaign on Wednesday, September 25th, taking on Dynamo Kyiv away from home in Matchday 1. In Matchday 2, they will host OGC Nice at the Stadio Olimpico.

The Biancocelesti will then travel to the Netherlands for a clash against Twente in Matchday 3 before hosting Porto and Ludogorets in back-to-back fixtures in Matchday 4 and Matchday 5. In Matchday 6, they will fly to the Netherlands once more, this time for a top encounter against Ajax.

In late January, Lazio will play Real Sociedad at home and Braga away in their final two group-stage fixtures.
