Lazio and Atalanta are the latest two Serie A teams to not be in the upcoming FIFA 22 videogame.
As reported by Italian media outlet LazioNews24 earlier today, both clubs are joining Juventus and Roma by skipping out on FIFA in favour of Konami’s PES, which has recently been renamed to ‘eFootball’.
This means that both the Biancocelesti and la Dea have different names and logos in FIFA 22. Lazio will be known as ‘Latium’ whilst Atalanta have become ‘Bergamo Calcio’. Juventus and Roma are Piedmont Calcio and Roma FC respectively.
Below is a photo of the Latium badge, which is currently floating around social media:
Lazio signed an exclusive deal with Konami in December of last year, part of president Claudio Lotito’s to expand the Biancocelesti’s profile and international reputation.
To promote this, the Roman club set up the Lazio eSports division, which has it’s own Twitter page to promote and keep fans informed with the latest news and games for the players.
